What is the TBR Book Club?
TBR Book Club is the meeting/reading place at the intersection of content design, marketing & community.
Join the conversation at your own pace: no live meeting, no pressure. It’s fully asynchronous.
A place for long-form thoughts: the SubStack platform is designed to connect like-minded people, without the distraction and noise of a mainstream platform.
A place to discover new people and ideas.
What we’ll be reading?
Topics will cover community buildings, people & culture, content strategy and design, technology, sociology, leadership and other books that can help us, community managers.
Every month one book will be read and discussed with the club members.
Sometimes we will have the author as a guest and discussion partner.
Code of Conduct
The scope of this community space is to build solid and meaningful connections and to learn and discover new books and authors. And to make friends.
In order to meet the goals of this community, it’s important for members to feel like they are in a safe place. Let’s keep our communications close to the scope of the community (i.e., learning, discovering books, and sharing information and ideas).
As we have people from around the globe, all communication must be in English.
As such, we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines that follow.
The short version
Be Cool: This community welcomes people from all walks of life, in all forms. We don’t tolerate harassment. We encourage you to contact us if you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour.
Be Respectful: Treat others online as you would treat them in real life. Respectfully disagree when you don’t align with others’ opinions.
Be careful with the words that you choose. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other participants. Harassment and other exclusionary behaviour aren't acceptable.
Collaborate openly: Be open and helpful when collaborating with others.
Ask for help, when unsure: The Founder is always here to help.
About Me
Hello, I’m Daniel, a reader, Community & Marketing Strategist, and book hoarder.
I’ve always relied on books when I needed information, a companion or a guide.
I started this space because I think, we, community professionals, don’t have a place to slow down, engage and recharge.
